Rafael Gonçalves Cardoso
Sound Designer

Rafael was born in 1993, in Oporto, and later he came to Lisbon to study film directing and sound at
Lisbon Theatre and Film School (Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema). The constant thought about sound
design made him realize that, to each film, it is essential to know how to find a way to influence the
environment of the direct sound. The development of this idea took him further and helped him to be
involved with the work of many directors such as João Salaviza, Gabriel Abrantes, Carlos Conceição,
Leonor Noivo, Basil da Cunha, Pedro Pinho, Emily Wardill, Leonor Teles, Diogo Baldaia and André Gil
Mata.
