MANIVALD
MANIVALD

Estonia, 2017, 13′

Manivald, a fox, is turning 33. Overeducated, unemployed and generally uninspired, he lives with his overbearing, retired mother and spends his days learning piano while she makes his coffee and washes his socks. It is an easy life, but not a good one. Their unhealthy co-dependence is about to collapse when the washing machine breaks down and Toomas, a sexy and adventurous wolf repairman, arrives to fix it, and them.

Pierre Yves Drapeau
Sound Designer

Pierre Yves Drapeau is working on animated films, as composer and sound designer. Among other
animation international figures, he worked with directors Chintis Lundgren, Claude Barras, Regina
Pessoa, Franck Dion, Vladimir Leschiov, Kaspar Jancis, Chris Landreth, Koji Yamamura, Pierre-Luc
Granjon, Nicolas Brault, Marv Newland and Co Hoedeman, to name few. In animation, the originality of
the form orders a more innovative soundtrack and a creative integration of the various elements of the
sound. A subtle integration of sound effects and music will effectively give rhythm to the film, and Pierre
Yves believes that the best way to achieve this is by having complete control over all aspects of the
soundtrack.
