Laurynas Bareiša (b. 1988/02/26, Kaunas, Lithuania) holds a bachelor’s degree in both applied
mathematics, from Vilnius University, and in cinematography, from Lithuanian Academy of Music and
Theatre. In 2016, he finished his studies, with a Masters’ degree in film directing. His first short film,
Dembava, was in one of the “Top 5” lists of “Cineuropa 2014”. After that, he made 3 short films:
Kupranugaris (The Camel), Pirtis (By the Pool), which premiered in Venice Film Festival, in 2017, and
his last short, Caucasus. At the moment, Laurynas is developing his first feature film.
