Lithuania, 2018, 14′

Tekle (27), with her daughter Ema (9), comes back from abroad to visit Dalia (60), Tekle’s mother. Ema goes outside to walk her grandmother’s dog. Immediately after discovering that Ema went outside alone, Dalia starts searching for her. Dalia fears that something terrible might have happened to Ema.

Director

Laurynas Bareiša (b. 1988/02/26, Kaunas, Lithuania) holds a bachelor’s degree in both applied
mathematics, from Vilnius University, and in cinematography, from Lithuanian Academy of Music and
Theatre. In 2016, he finished his studies, with a Masters’ degree in film directing. His first short film,
Dembava, was in one of the “Top 5” lists of “Cineuropa 2014”. After that, he made 3 short films:
Kupranugaris (The Camel), Pirtis (By the Pool), which premiered in Venice Film Festival, in 2017, and
his last short, Caucasus. At the moment, Laurynas is developing his first feature film.

Julius Grigelionis (b. 1989) studied sound design at Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. Being a
boom operator made a big influence to his taste of post-production sound.
